All About Us

Hi there! Welcome to a little place where you can find all things King. I've created this blog to share with our family & friends lil tidbits about our new life together. We've just started the greatest adventure of our lives, so I figured why not document it? Furthermore, I have this habit of posting long and typically cheese-filled captions all over Instagram and decided a blog dedicated to my favorite thing to get mushy about [mah hubz duh] might just make a better platform - Although you'll probably still find novels under my IG pics... I just can't help myself!

Claire King

That's me! I'm a 21 year-old wife, daughter, and sister. I now have a maiden name, which is Hubbard, and that makes me feel really old. I'm a broadcast journalism student at Utah State University and have always had a passion for the written word. I'll be graduating next spring and feel extremely excited and terrified about beginning a portion of my life without school being a top priority. I've loved school since kindergarten and still vividly remember the day my crush made fun of me for saying I liked school. He wasn't my crush after that. But all nerdiness aside, I'm looking forward to being able to start a family after I graduate with my forever and ever crush, Kendal. I love to travel and have so far been very blessed with opportunities to see the world. I studied abroad in Milan, Italy the fall semester of my sophomore year and have quite the obsession with anything European, especially chocolate. I love to bake, mostly because I have the sweetest sweet tooth out of just about anyone you'll ever meet. I believe I have perfected the chocolate chip cookie and I enjoy exercising so I can justify eating 12 cookies fresh out of the oven. I go through phases when I love to run. I have completed 3 half-marathons and plan to continue this healthy self-competition. In high school I ran track and played lacrosse. I made a pretty solid defense player on the field but on the sidelines (aka any other time of life) I'm a totally helpless wrestler due to the fact that I can practically be tickled to death with even the slightest touch. Oh, and along with the laughter you'll get out of me if you try to tickle me, I have a love for jokes. Like, a good knock-knock joke can get me crying tears.

Kendal King

He's the guy that made me a wife long before I ever planned. Kendal is 23 years old and the most well rounded human being you'll ever meet. The man can cook like no ones business and cleans like a 1950's housewife (which I don't intend for this comment to take away from his masculinity at all... I find this attribute insanely attractive and feel so lucky to have a husband that understands the importance of wiping crumbs off the countertops). He will rock the drums, guitar, bass and basically any instrument he can get his hands on. His sweet voice can serenade me until I've practically melted into a puddle. He has the strongest testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know this will make him a steadfast leader in our home and will help him be an incredible father to our future kiddos. He strengthens me in every aspect of life and is my example of how to make it home to our Heavenly Father. He has the weirdest sense of humor and sometimes I think he's an even bigger freak than I am and that just makes me fall more in love with him. He keeps me laughing and makes life so fun. He's ambitious and can create/ fix anything he dreams up. He promised to build us a home one day, complete with a wrap around porch, so basically life with him is The Notebook. Kendal can eat a whole bag of tortilla chips in one sitting and that's a cool thing because then I don't feel so bad about those 12 chocolate chip cookies I mentioned in my bio. To summarize... I still haven't found anything he can't do or is bad at and sometimes this perfection really annoys me. But I can't complain about the tall, dark and handsome perfect guy that asked me to marry him, so I'll just finish by saying I love him to infinity and beyond! (he also lets me choose the movies sometimes, even when it's an animated film for kids)
